Cookies and device storage

Version 2026-10-11 · TerraTopic Folkedal · Org. no. 933 307 956

What your browser stores

The shop uses authentication storage to retain the identity needed for your chosen session and protected orders. Firebase authentication uses browser storage, including IndexedDB/local storage. The admin and preview-access flows use secure session/access cookies. Requested map preferences and tile caching use browser storage. These technologies are described here even where they are not technically cookies.

Payment and outside providers

Stripe.js loads when you enter the payment step, rather than on an ordinary shop visit. Stripe uses device information and cookies/storage for payment security and fraud prevention. Requested external map providers receive network and tile requests. Provider notices explain their own storage. A security label alone does not establish that every provider cookie is exempt from consent; optional tracking must not load before valid consent.

Measurement and staff exclusion

Our server-side service counts do not place an identifier on public visitors for analytics. The admin/preview flow currently places a staff-exclusion marker, tt_staff_mark, for up to 400 days. It excludes operator visits from public counts. This is separate from authentication; you can remove it by clearing this site's cookies. Admin session and visitor-pass cookies protect the access you request. We are reviewing the staff marker separately from necessary authentication storage.

Your control

You can clear cookies and site storage through your browser. Doing so may sign you out, remove saved preferences and cached tiles, and require you to establish order ownership again. We do not bundle marketing or analytics consent with a purchase. If optional storage is introduced, you must be able to refuse it as easily as accept it and change your choice later. Contact anders@terratopic.com if you need help identifying a particular cookie.
